ASIA, THE PLACE WITH WONDERFUL PEOPLE AND FOOD

I lived in Vietnam, Singapore, and Burma and worked in several other countries.  Vietnam has great appeal, but Burma was one of the greatest places I ever lived.  It was and still is like going back in time.  When I lived there in the 70's, I was a one of a handful of non-diplomatic foreigners who lived in the country and less than 16,000 tourists a year came to visit.  There was no TV, radio, newpapers or magazines from outside the country. There were no new cars and they are still are not allowed today. Not much has changed. Like all Asians, the Burmese are a kind and gentle people.
